Who is dee kumar?

I have now bought and sold 10's of millions of dollars worth of real estate and have taught thousands of students how to do the same. 

How I got my start

About 30 years ago, I was in college and looking for Summer housing so that I could take a few extra classes and stay in town to practice with my bandmates. After class one day, I stopped into a real estate office to see if they had any apartments available. 


Little did I know, the trajectory of my life was about to change!

I  hit it off with the broker in the office and he asked if I had ever considered getting my real estate license. I hadn’t thought about it before, but if this guy was going to help me find an apartment, I was willing to hear him out.  


It wasn't really an "ah ha" moment so much as a "why not?" moment... 

But within a few weeks, I was in my new apartment, attending Summer classes, rehearsing my music and working part time as a rental agent. 

I was in SHOCK! He Turned to me and said "Dude! This is a big chunk of money here- why don't you use it to buy a place?"

The Plot Thickens...

When the broker gave me my commission check from my Summer rentals, he said “listen, it’s your money and this is just a suggestion, but this is a big chunk of money here- why don't you use it to buy a place? We’ve got a couple of listings right near campus.” 

We went over the numbers and with that check as a down payment, I could buy a one-bedroom condo a few blocks from campus and my mortgage would be almost exactly what I was paying for rent. 

Then, I took it one step farther: “what’s the price for a two bedroom?” I asked. 

It was more expensive of course but when I factored in renting out the second bedroom to a friend of mine, now my monthly payment was cut by more than half. 

That day, an investor was born. 

Had I not taken a chance that day to hear that Broker out and let some guy that I met on a whim sell me on an opportunity, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I have now bought and sold 10's of millions of dollars worth of real estate and have taught thousands of students how to do the same.
